Salil has 20+ years of domain expertise in Urban Infrastructure, Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, Smart Cities, Transportation (Highways, Railways & Airports), Real Estate and EPC. Started his career as a Design Engineer working on the Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Project. Subsequently, for 7 years worked with various Technical Consulting firms on marquee projects including the Mumbai – Pune Expressway and for 2 years with the Promoter of a large real estate entity in Mumbai on residential and mixed-use projects.

Since 2006 he has been part of IL&FS and has worked across Management Consulting, Infrastructure Advisory and PPP Development across the Infrastructure sector & Large Area Development space. As a VP, led Business Strategy, Strategic Joint Ventures, Due Diligence, Deal Structuring and Financial Analysis for complex & large-scale projects including Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, Stadium Project in Kerala on PPP, Business Development across India and MENA, Mangalore SEZ, DMIC and other marquee projects for various Government Agencies.

He has worked with Amrop, a Global Executive Search Firm for more than 3 years and as a Practice Leader for Infrastructure, Energy and Real Estate. He was responsible for C-Suite Leadership, Boards, Independent Directors and Senior Advisors for Large Corporates, MNCs and Indian Promoter Led Organisations, typically SME’s.

Salil has an MBA from S.P. Jain, Mumbai and a Bachelor in Engineering (Civil) from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai. He is an avid reader and has a deep interest in Current Affairs, Geo-Politics Financial Markets and is an Adventure Sports enthusiast.
