About the Company:
Campus Shoes was started in 1997 by Mr. HK Aggarwal, the founder of the diversified ‘Action Group’, that owns about 30 sub-brands across sectors such as chemicals, steel and Real Estate. The company has further moved on to launch Campus Activewear, that offers a wide range of products including shoes for running, gymming and other lifestyle activities. The products are discernible for their high technology, design quotient and comfort and have been positioned keeping in mind the Indian mass consumer.
Campus has set up exclusive brand outlets and continues on its growth trajectory in the Indian market. In Aug 2017, Campus has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from TPG Growth, the growth equity and mid-market buyout fund of private equity firm TPG Capital Inc and QRG Enterprises Ltd, the family office of the promoters of Havells Group.
The dynamic management of Campus is now contemplating expanding Campus’s footprint overseas. The company follows the Net Promoters Score methodology to enhance the engagement with the customers.
About the Candidate:
Raman Chawla prior to joining Campus was working as Finance Director – India and India Sub-Continent for Beam Global India. Beam India is a subsidiary of the very well known global player in the alcoholic beverages sector, Beam Suntory Inc. He played a key enabler role in supporting high growth environment and ensuring achievement of Overall Country Financial Targets. He co-led project about re-framing Beam India strategic vision and identifying pillars of growth.
Earlier Raman worked with Reckitt Benckiser for 9+ years in India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia markets as a Commercial Controller and within a short period was promoted as Finance Director for RB’s Operations in Sri-Lanka, and then again as Finance Director for the Indonesia Operations. He also has worked with Beckton Dickinson, Seagram, and Coca Cola India earlier in his career.
Raman is a Gold Medallist MBA from International Management Institute, a qualified Chartered Accountant and a B.Com University Gold Medallist.
