About the Candidate:
Vinod comes with 26+ years post qualification experience in Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Fund Raising, IPO, M&A and Secretarial functions in leading diversified manufacturing companies. He has an exposure of working in manufacturing companies in India and abroad, in a multi-location and multi-cultural environment. Vinod was previously the CFO at Essel Infraprojects Ltd with key focus to provide vision and strategic direction to the finance function. He was responsible for the entire gamut of finance function including fund raising, corporate finance , treasury, banking, taxation, reporting, legal and secretarial etc. Earlier, as the CFO of Adani Power his key focus was to establish and set up the CFO function from scratch which included Treasury, IR, Taxation Secretarial, FP& A, for the newly set up Adani Power business, managing relationship with banks, fund raising, cash flow management and re-structuring etc. Prior to that, he was with Vedanta for over 15 years handling various positions in different subsidiaries. Vinod has a CFO experience of 16 years in listed companies and has been instrumental in setting up and streamlining F&A function in new and acquired companies. His exposure to fund raising in India and abroad and substantive exposure of project finance, consortium lending and working capital loans with multifaceted experience of working in large Indian business houses and multinational companies makes him a completely suitable finance professional.
