About the Company:

Set up in 2002, Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited (ARCIL) is India’s first and one of the largest Asset Reconstruction Company in terms of Net Worth, Coverage & Infrastructure. Since its inception, ARCIL has resolved over INR 780 billion worth of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) acquired from Indian banks and Financial Institutions. ARCIL has the largest coverage & infrastructure with Pan India presence; 9 branches across 15 states. The current employee strength is 250. US-based investment firm Avenue Capital Group is the largest shareholder with 70% shareholding in the Company followed by SBI 20% and balance 10% split across few small banks and others. Arcil’s AUM stood at Rs. 16,009 crores as on December 31, 2022.

About the Candidate:

Gurleen is a legal professional having over 15 years of experience. Her expertise lies in handling corporate legal matters, due diligence and transaction structuring, civil litigation, restructuring/ resolution of distressed assets, recovery through enforcement of Debt Recovery Law, SARFAESI Act and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Earlier she was heading legal function at Phoenix ARC since Jan 2019. She started her career with Phoenix ARC in 2011 as a lawyer on the acquisition side and later moved to resolutions side.  At Phoenix ARC she was part of management team.
