Hunt Partners aids appointment of CEO & COO at Banktech India (BTI Payments)
Banktech India (BTI Payments) established in 2006, a wholly owned subsidiary of Banktech Group, Australia, is one of the first set of entities to have received licenses by RBI to roll outWhite Label ATMs across India. BTI Payments has received investment from ICICI Ventures, the largest PE Fund in India. BTI Payments is a highly credible supplier of quality ATM and POS deployment and managed services for a growing number of Indian banks. BTI Payments is seeking to leverage its payments expertise to deliver a range of innovative products and services to its Indian customers by developing a customised range of products and services including ATM, POS and Mobile solutions. BTI payments search for efficient top management to take further its business expansion was met by Hunt Partners by placing K. Srinavas as CEO and Rajeev Desai as COO.
K Srinivas has a strong academic backbone to his 25 years of experience with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1985 from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, followed by an MBA from IIM Bangalore in 1987 and EDP from Wharton in 2009. Srinivas started his career with Britannia Industries Ltd as a management trainee in 1987 and then went on to join Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) in 1992. He left his position as Business Manager – New Ventures at HLL to join Bharti Enterprises Ltd. as CEO in 2002. Prior to his appointment as CEO, BTI Payments, he held the post of Director – Special Projects in Airtel Management Board and served as a Member, Board of Directors at Alcatel Lucent Services Ltd (JV with Airtel), Bridge Mobile Ltd, Indus Towers, Bharti Soft Bank Limited and Airtel Money Services Limited.
Rajeev Desai an Electronics Engineer from 1983 batch of St. Xavier’s Technical Institute has a vast experience of 30 years. His initial assignments were with Bush India Ltd., Godrej & Boyce Ltd., and International Data Management Ltd. In 1991 he joined CitiBank as Manager Data Centre Management and progressed on to become VP – Technical Services and Consolidation Projects in 2001. He then joined HSBC, India as Head – Special Projects in 2002, Euronet India as Director Operations-Asia Pacific in 2003, followed by Barclays Bank PLC London in 2006 as IT – Director and then Prizm Payments Ltd. as Director – Projects and Customer Relations in 2011. His vast experience in handling and managing complex operations revolving around infrastructure and infrastructure managed services will be an advantage to BTI Payments as he takes up the role of COO.
